Consultation for the Site Allocations and Planning Policies Issues and Options Development Plan Documents

We are at the first stage in the production of two important
documents which will set out the future growth of the City. The
Site Allocations document will allocate land for new
development and the Planning Policies document will contain
policies that will be used for assessing planning applications
submitted to the Council
You can make comments on line or by using
the forms relevant to each consultation.
The documents for consultation are:
- Site Allocations Development Plan Document - identifies sites and land for different types of development throughout the Local Authority.
- Planning Policies Development Plan Document - provides planning policies and criteria for the determination (granting or refusal) of planning applications which will cater for sustainable growth of the city. This document is in line with the Core Strategy Preferred Option.
Both documents are available in CD format.

A number of Exhibitions (85KB,1 page) are also being held throughout the district.
The consultation will take place between 9am on
14, October 2008 and 5pm on 24, November
2008.
Both documents form part of the Local Development Framework.
