Peterborough Children and Young People Plan
The Children Act 2004 requires key organisations in all local
areas, including local authorities, schools, health and the
voluntary and community sector, to work together to improve
outcomes for children and young people in five areas, ensuring that
children and young people can:
- Be Healthy
- Stay Safe
- Enjoy and Achieve
- Make a Positive Contribution
- Achieve Economic Wellbeing
A key part of this work involves producing a Children and
Young People Plan to outline the key priorities for children and
young people, and how partners will work together to meet those
priorities.
Peterborough's first Children and Young People Plan was
launched in April 2006 and provided a focus for a lot of positive
developments in Peterborough. However, the needs of our children
and young people are constantly changing and, following extensive
consultation, we have launched a revised plan for 2008 and
beyond.
