In response to your concerns a week of
coordinated actions will commence in Orton Malborne on
Monday 22 October 2007 with the aim
of making Orton Malborne a cleaner and safer place for everyone to
live, work and visit
The plans
include:
- Daily street briefings by Police and partner agencies
- Smartwater to homes in hot spot areas
- Graffiti removal
- Creating new Neighbourhood Watch schemes
- Personal safety and burglary prevention advice
- Focus on anti-social behaviour
- Activities for children and young people
- Drug awareness and advice
- Rogue trader awareness sessions
- Clearing of grot spots
Who's
involved?
Many agencies and organisations including
Peterborough City Council, Cambridgeshire Constabulary, Trading
Standards, Local schools including St John's C of E Primary School,
Orton Goldhay, Cross Keys Homes, Accent Nene Housing, Bridgegate
Drug Services, Drinksense, Victim Support, Age
Concern, Froglife, Neighbourhood Watch, Peterborough Youth
Services, DVLA, Peterborough Primary Care Trust, Street Scene, TV
Licensing, Local community groups, local businesses and most
importantly local people, will be working together to tackle those
concerns raised.
