Youth council
The Youth Council exists to give young people a voice in the city.
The elected members of PCC decided that they would like to see a formal youth council made up of school council members. The purpose of the Youth Council is to represent the views of young people and to allow them to actively participate in Peterborough City Council's democratic processes.
The Youth Council links closely with the work for the City
Council and shadows the role of the Cabinet. It is conducted in a
similar formal manner to Council meetings.
The foundation of a formal youth council made up of
school council members, school council members are selected
in each school who will be invited to join the youth council.
