Which advisor is best to help you

A connexions information adviser provides frontline advice for young people in the city covering a wide range of issues. We offer 1:1 interviews for young people aged 16 - 19 looking for information on CV's, Education, Work, Training and Benefits. We also provide information on a range of other services available to young people. We would be your first point of contact at the Connexions centre based in Central Library.

A universal personal adviser provides information, advice and guidance services to young people to help them realise their full potential by engaging in learning, personal development and employment opportunities, and to promote their social inclusion as they move to adulthood. This is generally delivered through guidance interviews.

An intensive personal adviser provides support, information, advice and guidance to young people, who are, or who are at risk of becoming disengaged and supports them in overcoming barriers. This is generally delivered through 1:1 interviews and support sessions.

An additional needs personal adviser provides support, assessment, information and guidance to young people with learning difficulties and complex disabilities to enable them to access learning and realise their potential.
