Sutton 'Quiet Lane' proposal
What is it?
We are currently consulting on a proposal to
designate all the roads in the village of Sutton as
'Quiet Lanes'. This would promote shared use by walkers,
cyclists and horse riders as well as by vehicles, as these roads
are particularly appropriate for this.
To give an opportunity for residents, or anyone who feels they
may be affected, to comment on the draft proposals a Public Meeting
will be held on Monday 18 February 2008, starting at 7.30pm in
Sutton Reading Room, Lovers Lane, Sutton.
The following documents appear in adobe acrobat
format
- Notice of Public Meeting.
- The letter sent to local residents.
- Information outlining the implications of Quiet Lane designation, with weblinks for the relevant Regulations and guidance from the Department for Transport. This information has been circulated to properties within the proposed Quiet Lane area.
- A plan of the area, showing all the proposed Quiet Lanes and signs.
- A questionnaire regarding the proposal, to be returned by 10 March for comments to be considered prior to the formal consultation. Responses received after this date will be carried forward to any ensuing formal consultation.
