Local people and organisations have until Friday (7 March) to
submit comments on a draft Peterborough Housing Strategy before the
document is submitted to Peterborough City Council for approval
next month (9 April).
The strategy sets out the housing issues and priorities for
the city and provides a strategic framework for future investment
and management. It proposes five objectives:
- Availability of quality housing
- Planning for the growth of the city
- Development of balanced and mixed communities
- Ensuring service delivery is effective and efficient
- Promoting and implementing environmental and energy efficient standards
A city council spokesman said: "The strategy has been
published on our website for some time to give local people an
opportunity to submit their comments. The views of residents
and other key stakeholders are very important to us and will be
used to guide the ongoing development of the strategy. We
want the strategy to cover every aspect of Peterborough's housing
issues and priorities."
The strategy can be viewed at www.peterborough.gov.uk/page-13626.
Any comments should be submitted to: Anne Keogh, Housing Strategy
and Enabling Officer, Strategic Growth & Development,
Peterborough City Council, Bayard Place, Peterborough PE1 1HZ;
Email: housing.strategy@peterborough.gov.uk.
Ends.
