Venue: Cathedral Square (11am performance) & the Key Theatre (12noon-4pm)

This year's Festival is proudly supporting the East of England's BIG Dance celebration, which aims to give you lots of opportunities to watch, take part and find out more about dance!

There will be lots going on including:
11am - Hofesh Schechter's internationally acclaimed dance company will kick start their express tour of the region by performing an excerpt from Uprising right in the city centre in Cathedral Square. It will be followed by a special performance by dance students from the Voyager School, who have been working with the Greenbean Dance Company to create a new dance piece as part of these BIG Dance celebrations.

12noon to 4pm - Your Chance to Dance: Trade fair and taster workshops... Dance schools, teachers and enthusiasts from all over Peterborough and the surrounding area will be on hand at the Key Theatre to talk to you about all the dance opportunities available across the city and beyond. There will be dance styles and information for all ages and abilities so come along to find out more. You will also be able to take part in a host of FREE taster workshops in a range of dance styles from Salsa to tap. The full programme is available from the Festival website and on the day.

All these fantastic opportunities are part of the BIG Dance Goes East project which will be taking place across six locations over the same weekend. These celebrations are part of the national BIG Dance events supported by The London Mayors Office and the Arts Council of England.
