Peterborough's Space4 Gallery will be playing host
to an innovative art installation from tomorrow (Friday 9 May)
until 22 June. The 'V.I.P. Room' is an interactive multimedia art
installation by Chinese artists '8gg', a Beijing-based husband and
wife team Fu Yu and Jiang Haiqing, who have travelled from China to
the UK to see the project come to fruition.
The V.I.P room is a multimedia art installation, which is
suitable for people of all ages. It features projected clips of
music, sound and vision that participants can control by sitting on
huge computer keys. The installation is touring the country and is
supported by Arts Council England and the Arts Council Lottery
Fund.
The project was commissioned by 'Folly', a leading digital
arts organisation, which is committed to enabling new audiences to
explore art through technology. For more information about Folly,

Peterborough's Space4 Gallery is a flexible
multi-purpose exhibition venue that has achieved an enviable
reputation for the exhibition, commission and support of artists
working in digital and new media. It is located on the ground floor
of Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery, which is 5 minutes walk
from the central bus and railway station and car parks.
Two other artists are also exhibiting at Space4,
photographer Doug Gray, who has an exhibition called 'Selected
Coincidences', and painter Andie Scott, who will be exhibiting
'1100 Tokens', a display comprising of 1,100 portraits of Burmese
monks.
Space4 is located within Peterborough Museum, with
the following opening hours:
- Tuesday Saturday: 10 am 5 pm
- Sunday: 12 noon 4 pm
- Bank Holidays: 12 noon 4 pm
