SaferPeterborough is a collection of organisations from across the city who work together to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, to ensure that it is a place where people feel safe.

There are lots of organisations involved but those who are responsible, by law, for the work of the partnership are:

  • Peterborough City Council Photo of a firefighter and a child with hose
  • Cambridgeshire Constabulary
  • Peterborough Primary Care Trust (NHS)
  • Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • Cambridgeshire Police Authority

These are known as responsible authorities.

They work with a wide range of public, voluntary sector and community groups.
