Strategic Finance
The Finance service provides support to the Council across a
number of specific areas. These are budget preparation, financial
control, budget monitoring and
management accounting, financial advice and support, loans and
investments, insurance, payments and income. It includes ensuring
that various statutory functions are fulfilled, relating to
accounting for VAT, production of the budget and annual Statement of Accounts, and associated
requirements.
