Consultation
Heritage Strategy for
Peterborough
August 2008
Peterborough City Council Heritage Service are consulting on
the first ever Heritage Strategy for Peterborough as part of
delivering a vibrant cultural offer for Peterborough's
people. Together with our partners in heritage we are
determined to place culture at the heart of our communities and
ensure that everyone and especially our children experience a
variety of high quality cultural opportunities.
The Heritage Strategy sets out a future for Heritage in
Peterborough as a unique city and the surrounding areas with a rich
heritage and history, a city currently undergoing rapid development
and growth. The Strategy identifies the major challenges and
actions needed to achieve that vision and describes the ways in
which Heritage contributes to promoting pride in the city and
surrounding areas and...
'To ensure that culture is at the heart of
the City's growth so that those who live her now and in the future
will enjoy a great place to live, work and play'
The people of Peterborough are at the heart of the strategy we
are putting forward and as part of our ongoing consultations with
individuals, groups and interested parties, we would like to hear
your views on the strategy before it is finalised.
As such we would ask you to respond to the following questions
and in addition add any further comments you would like to
make. All of the feedback will be considered before the
strategy is finalised.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your
views and be a part of creating a future for Peterborough which
places heritage and culture at its heart.
