Sign up to stand a
chance of winning the Schools Challenge
Teachers, pupils and parents could win their school a
fantastic prize if they take part in the fun run when the Great
Eastern Run returns to Peterborough on Sunday 12 October
2008.
There's still chance to sign up for either the fun run or Great
Eastern Run, with entries needing to be submitted by Monday 6 October.
However, those people who may still be interested in taking part in
the fun run have the added incentive of a fantastic prize for their
local school.
Peterborough City Council has teamed up with
Peterborough-based ChromaSport & Trophies to reward the school
which has the most entries into this year's fun run, irrespective
of whether it's a pupil, teacher or parent running the 5km
distance.
The city council's sports development team will provide the
winning school with a term of one hour of multi-sport sessions for
up to 24 children each week, while ChromaSport & Trophies has
kindly agreed to donate them with a brand new football kit.
Michael Vincent, managing director of ChromaSport &
Trophies, said: "We're delighted to support the Great Eastern Run
and fun run by offering the winning school this prize. We
currently supply over 60 schools and provide in excess of 700
football kits, as well as offering customised embroidery and
printing on clothing for all businesses, from sole traders to
multi-national companies."
ChromaSport & Trophies was established in 1991 with a
staff of two and now employs 12 people. It specialises in
sports teamwear, schoolwear, corporate and leisurewear and provides
