Customer Service Centre, Bayard Place offers the
following services:·
Reception Services
General enquiries
- Issuing and receipt for a variety of council forms
- Advising customers on the use of Information Kiosks
- Advising customers on how to operate Choice Base Letting system for Housing Options
Cash Office
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm
and is located within the reception area of Bayard Place and
can take payments for the following:
- Council Tax
- Business Rates
- Cross Keys (rent & CT combined)
- Parking Fines
- Residents Parking Permits
- Housing Benefit Over Payments
- Taxi Related i.e Licensing
- Home Care (PCT)
- Allotment Payments and Keys
- Radar Keys
Our preferred method of payment is by Direct
Debit or via debit card. Please note we no longer accept
payment for Council tax by Creidt Card

The councils corporate call centre is located within the
customer service centre and takes calls from 8am to 6pm Monday to
Friday. The Call Centre receives calls for all areas of the
Council including:
- Council tax enquiries
- Benefits enquiries
- Requests for job recruitment packs
- Adult Social Care
- Answer calls on behalf of Libraries
- Switchboard and general queries
- General Refuse and Recycling Requests
- Household Waste Permits
- General Cleansing Request
- Littering issues
- Pollution
- Reporting of dead Birds
- General Dog Request Procedures (e.g.: Install Dogs Signs, Delivering Fouling Bags, Complaints)
- General Food Request (Food Complaints)
- Health and Safety request (only when it is an Employer or a member of the public regarding an office, retail shop, warehouse, motor vehicle repair premise or catering company, a customer service or those included in the leisure and recreation industry).
- Smoke Free Procedure
- General Landscape requests
