Book lovers can grab a bargain at Peterborough City Council's
Bretton Library where a sale of withdrawn stock takes place on
Saturday 25 October 2008 with hundreds of items being sold
off.
Bargain hunters can look forward to a large selection of adult
and junior books on sale including fiction and non-fiction titles.
The sale runs from 10 am until 4 pm or until stocks last. Books
will be priced at £2 for 10 novels or children's books and
£3 for 10 non-fiction books. Other items will be priced
separately.
The library promotes Peterborough City Council's strategic
priorities, one of which is to deliver an environmentally friendly
city, and as a result is asking customers to bring their own bags
to carry their items home.
Edith Drewery, team leader at Bretton Library, said:
"Opportunities for book lovers to grab bargains like these come
along only every so often. We have hundreds of items for sale to
suit all ages and tastes and hope everyone who comes to the sale
will find something they like."
Ends.
