The catering and hospitality industry covers a wide range of different businesses including pubs and restaurants, fast food takeaways, cafés, hotels and contract caterers. It is estimated that over 1.7 million people are employed in this sector and it is continuing to grow. Peterborough City Council alone has more than 1000 catering/hospitality companies trading within its boundary.

'Stop Slips in Kitchens' campaign

Slip and trip accidents can happen for a number of reasons, but all too frequently we jump to conclusions about why they happen rather than really looking for the true cause or, we decide that it is just one of those things and do nothing.

The leaflets below have been designed to help you reduce the risk of slipping in your kitchen and help you comply with health and safety legislation.  They cover topics such as flooring cleaning, types of floor surface and footwear.
