Halloween Ghost Walks 2008
This Halloween
Peterborough Museum's popular Ghost Walk will be again offering fun
and chills, with tours running each night from Monday 27
October until Friday 31 October at 7.30pm and 8pm each
night.
The walks are again proving their popularity, with tickets selling out quickly. As such the Museum is advising early booking at avoid disappointment.
The two hour-long walking tours around the city centre visit a number of sites which are reputed to be haunted, including the ghosts of the Cathedral precincts and even the Museum itself!
As a special treat for Halloween costumed extras en route will bring some of the ghosts to life!
In addition the Museum is offering a special midnight tour on Halloween night itself. This tour will again explore the haunted sites of the city including some not usually included on the walk before heading back to the Museum for a candlelit tour of the city's most haunted building and a ghost vigil until 4am.
Stuart Orme, Museum Visitor Services and Marketing Manager for Peterborough City Council, also guide and creator of the Ghost Walks, said, "We're again amazed and delighted by the response that the Ghost Walks have generated; it continues to be a real pleasure to be able to entertain so many people over the last seven years with stories about the city's spooky past. The walks are varied every few months so every walk is slightly different, with a huge array of stories to choose from. Even if you've been before you'll find it's a different experience, particularly for Halloween!"
For Halloween there are two tours per night on:
Monday 27 October at 7.30pm

Friday 31 October at 7.30pm (SOLD OUT)
Tickets for the walk cost £5 for adults, £3 for children, students and OAPs. Those people wishing to book onto the special Halloween walks are advised to book early with the Museum as tickets are selling fast and are limited in number.
There are a few tickets for the Midnight tour on Halloween, which is adults only and costs £25 per ticket.
