Indoor Cricket Nets start Sunday 11th January, at Stanground College (Peterborough Road, Farcet, PE7 3BY). They run each Sunday until 15th April 2009 (except 15th and 22nd March). There is a small charge to cover costs. We welcome new players of all standards. If you are interested in joining the Castor and Ailsworth Cricket Club please contact Tim. Our season runs from late April until end of September. Weekend League matches usually start between 1.00pm and 2.00pm and evening matches at 6.00pm.

Activities of organisation or services provided

We play league cricket and have two senior teams, the First XI play in the Cambs & Hunts Premier Division 2 on Saturdays and Rutland League 3rd Division on Sundays. The Second XI play in Hunts League Division 3 on Saturdays and the Rutland League Division 7 on Sundays. The Midweek XI takes part in the Peterborough Midweek Cricket League, the Jaidka Cup and Burghley ‘Sixes’ evening Cup Competitions. There are four Junior teams at Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 level that play against local sides. We also provide junior coaching (on Saturday morning) and on the club practice night (Wednesday's) during the season. We need boys of all ages to support our Under-9, Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15 teams. Net practice and coaching is provided. We would also welcome adults, who can offer assistance in administration, coaching or simply transport to and from matches.
