Personal Licence
This licence authorises the specified person to supply alcohol
or allow the supply of alcohol, in accordance with a premises
licence. Such personal licences are valid for 10 years, and will be
'portable' between premises. The government is currently discussing
the set-up of a central database to contain details of the personal
licences, so as to facilitate their portability.

Application Decision Making
The police will be able to object to any personal licence on
the grounds of crime prevention if the person has a relevant
criminal conviction (as defined in the Act). In which case,
Peterborough City Council licensing committee will hold a hearing,
and a decision made. Personal licences can be suspended for up to 6
months or forfeited.
