WIND FARM DECISION DATE SETPeterborough City Council's Planning and Environmental Protection Committee are due to meet on Monday, 20 September, at 1.30pm, to determine the current planning application for the erection of seven 100m high wind turbines on land at Wryde Croft, Thorney, Peterborough. This is a revised application, following the withdrawal of a previous application for twelve turbines. Given the large volume of representations that have been received by the city council, special arrangements have been made to allow up to 30 people to speak and address Councillors for a maximum of two minutes each. The applicants will have the same amount of speaking time to ensure a fair hearing. The city council has dispatched letters to advise interested persons, who submitted comments in response to the proposal, to let them know they have the opportunity to speak at the meeting. However, due to the postal strike the city council is concerned that these letters may take several days to arrive and are urging people to telephone or email to register their interest to speak at the meeting. All those wanting to speak at the Committee or require any other information about the meeting are advised to contact Sally Crawford, Peterborough City Council on (01733) 452214 by 4pm on Friday 17 September. End. Media contact: Jennie Kendall, Principal Corporate Communications Officer on (01733) 452577. | ||
