Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Minerals and Waste Development Plan Documents
Introduction
Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council are jointly preparing Minerals and Waste Development Plan Documents (DPD's) in accordance with the requirements of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
These documents will set out the spatial planning policies to
guide mineral extraction and waste management development until
2021 and as part of the new Local
Development Framework will replace the "old" system of Structure and Local
Plans. They will be vital in ensuring
that:
- Construction materials are available to support planned growth in this area
- Sustainable waste management facilities are in place for existing communities
- Sustainable waste management facilities are planned for future communities
Current Stage
- Preferred Options (stage) 2 Consultation takes place between 8, September 2008 and 20 , October 2008
Development Plan Document Stages Already Undertaken
- Preferred Options (stage) 1 Consultation completed December 2008
- Issues and Options (stage) 2 Consultation completed April 2006
- Issues and Options (stage) 1 Consultation completed July 2005
