Local Development Framework
A new system of plan-making was introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. In accordance with this Act the contents of the Statutory Development Plan have changed.
The "new" Statutory Development Plan for Peterborough consists of:-
- Regional Spatial Strategy for the East of England (The East of England Plan)
- Development Plan Documents from the Peterborough Local Development Framework (LDF)
Peterborough Local Development Framework (LDF)
This consists of a portfolio of documents:-
- Local Development Scheme (which includes a timetable for LDF document production) (588KB, 50 pages)
- Development Plan Documents. These could include:-
- Core Strategy
- Development Control Policies
- Proposal Map
- Site Allocations
- Area Action Plans
- Minerals and Waste Development Plan Documents
- Supplementary Planning Documents
- Statement of Community Involvement
- Annual Monitoring Report

The Local Developmenrt Framework Newsletter indicates the activity concerning the LDF.

While the components of the "new" Statutory Development Plan - are being developed, elements of the "old" Statutory Development Plan remain in operation.
