What activity can be funded by Urban II?

 
Urban II funding is available for both Revenue and Capital projects that target specific Outputs within defined Priorities and Measures.
 
Funding has been allocated to three priorities, each of which contains two measures.  A number of outputs have been identified for each measure, through which the Programme aims to achieve defined impacts.
 
To be eligible for funding, a project must target one or more outputs, and contribute to achieving the required impact.

 

 

Cross Cutting Criteria

 

In addition to targetting the defined Outputs, all projects must address and satisfy the following criteria:

 

Mainstreaming Equal Opportunities

Demonstrates that the organisation applying for funding promotes equal opportunities for men and women, ethnic minorities, disabled people and any other excluded groups.

Encourages and actively tackles the barriers that prevent participation by disadvantaged groups.

 

Promoting Environmental Sustainability

Support the reduction of CO2 emissions through effective energy use and generation.

Supports and encourages the reduction and the recycling of waste.

Supports and encourages sustainable water use.

The Information Society

Supports capacity building which increases community ICT awareness and participation.

Supports and encourages the use of ICT to eliminate the effects of distance and access.

 

Achieving Integration in the labour market

Support access for minority groups to training and development opportunities.

Support the participation of minority groups in the mangement and control of projects and partnerships.
