Who can apply for Urban II funding?
Applicants eligible to apply for the project funding
are:
- Voluntary and community organisations.
- Local authorities.
- Other public organisations.
- Private sector.
Urban II is available only on a 'match-funding'
basis. At least 50% of project expenditure must
be provided by applicants or from other funding sources.
Match-funding can include 'contributions in kind', e.g. the
value of land or assets donated to the project, or the notional
value of volunteer time. Please refer to the
Urban II Team for further information or advice on
match-funding.
The application process and subsequent monthly reporting can
involve a significant amount of work, and so most successful
applications to date have been for projects valued in excess of
£50,000 from organisations that have the necessary
resources.
Smaller organisations are however able to apply to the Community
Regeneration Fund (CRF).
