If you had an extra £2 billion for local services what would you do with it?

Spend it on our schools?
Spend it on our hospitals?
Help increase the number of police on the streets?
Reduce your council tax bills?
You won't get that choice because benefit cheats have spent it on themselves!

It is estimated that £2 billion is stolen from the public by benefit cheats every year. That adds up to £80 per year for every household in Britain. Our fraud team is working towards stopping that money being lost but we need your help. If you think someone is getting benefits that they are not entitled to then please tell us.

You can report a benefit cheat on line by using this form:

Or you can telephone the Fraud Hotline on the telephone number shown at the top of this page. You can talk to us between 08:30 and 17.00 Monday to Friday. If you ring outside these hours then we have a 24 hour answer machine.
