Parking Permits
The purchase of a season ticket is recommended for those who
park regularly, and for longer periods, in Peterborough City
Council car parks.
A season ticket entitles the user to park in the majority of
the city council controlled car parks. They are available on a
weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis at a much lower price
than the all day parking charge.
However, please note that season tickets may NOT be
used in the following car parks or parking areas:
- Car Haven car park
- Market Multi-storey (Floors - Ground, 1 & 2)
- Regional Pool car park
- Trinity Street car park
- All on-street pay & display parking places
- All controlled residential parking places

Residents' Parking
Permits
A Resident Parking Permit allows residents to park their vehicles in a resident's bay, in the street or zone near to where they live, which would otherwise be prohibited.
A Resident Parking Permit allows residents to park their vehicles in a resident's bay, in the street or zone near to where they live, which would otherwise be prohibited.
Do You Qualify?
Yes, if you use or keep a motor vehicle, invalid carriage
(with an unladen weight not exceeding 30cwt) or a motorcycle, and
your permanent residence is in a street covered by the
scheme.
If you do not own a vehicle but keep one under your "care and
control" you will need to produce the registration documents and a
letter from the registered owner, stating that you have permanent
use of the vehicle.
If you use or keep a vehicle belonging to your employer, you
will need a letter of confirmation from them. This should be
written on company headed stationery, and state that you are
entitled to use the vehicle for business purposes. If you use more
than one vehicle, details of these should be printed on the
permit.
The Permit does not guarantee a parking space will always
be available. Permits are issued at the discretion of the
Peterborough City Council, to ensure the scheme is as fair as
possible. Restrictions may be in place in some areas; you will be
informed of any restriction upon application.
From the 6th April 2003 all Residents' permits are valid in
Craig Street and Dickens Street car parks from 5.00pm to
8.00am.

Do You Qualify?
Yes, if your permanent residence is in a street covered by the
scheme and you have visitors to your property who are using a
vehicle. You do not need to own a vehicle to apply for a visitor
permit.
One visitor permit is issued free of charge, on application,
second and subsequent permits cost £5.00* each. Normally a
maximum of 3 visitor passes are issued per resident, however the
council in its absolute discretion, and subject to a satisfactory
assessment of an applicants need, can issue a resident more than
one permit free of charge. This discretion is required to ensure
the scheme is as fair as possible for the benefit of all residents.
There may also be a restriction on the number of permits issued in
some areas; you will be informed of any restriction upon
application.
Lost or damaged visitor permits will only be replaced on
payment of an administration charge of £25.00*.
*These charges are correct at the time of publication, but may
be subject to change.
