National Indicator 181 (also known
as the 'Right Time' indicator)
Definition - This is calculated using the average time
taken, in calendar days, to process all new claims and change
events in Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit.
Example - 20 claims took 200 days to process = 10 days
average (200 / 20 = 10)

National Indicator 180 (also known as the 'Right Benefit' indicator
Definition - The number of changes to customers' HB/CTB benefits entitlement that is processed by the local authority in a year.
Further details will be published at a later date. We are
waiting on Central Government to provide the figure
confirming the amount achieved for 2007/08 and to confirm details
as to how the current year performance will be communicated. It is
likely we will be able to give further information in June
2008.
