What happens next?

If this is the first time you have complained about a particular issue (Stage One), we will:

  • Acknowledge your complaint within two working days of receiving this form;
  • Send it to the relevant service manager who will respond to your complaint within ten working days.

If you have appealed against the decision of the service manager (Stage Two), we will:

  • Acknowledge your complaint within two working days of receiving this form.
  • Tell you who will be investigating your complaint. This will be the relevant Head of Service or equivalent, responsible for the service area about which you are complaining;
  • Tell you when you can expect to receive a response;
  • Send your complaint to the relevant Head of Service or equivalent who will send their response to you within fifteen working days of receiving this form.

If you are appealing against the decision of the Head of Service to the Assistant Chief Executive (Stage Three), we will:

  • Acknowledge your complaint within two working days of receiving this form;
  • Tell you who will investigate your complaint and when you can expect to receive a response.
