Frequently Asked Questions for
Dog Fouling
Where can I get free poop scoop bags?
Free poop scoop bags are available from most Council buildings
including the Town Hall, Bridge House, Bayard Place, housing
offices, libraries and from most post offices and vets.
How do I arrange for a 'No Fouling' notice to be put up?
'No Fouling' notices can be placed on lamp posts in areas
where there are particular problems and the Dog Warden can also
patrol the areas if notified of specific days/times of
offenders. Environmental Management can arrange to
remove the fouling.
What can be done about dog fouling?
The Dog Warden can patrol areas and if notified of specific
days/times of offenders will patrol at these particular
times. If a dog owner is caught not removing fouling
they will be issued with a fixed penalty notice of
£50. If the complainant knows the name and address
of the offender the Dog Warden will visit the premise or send a
letter. 'No Fouling' notices can be fixed to local lamp
posts. Environmental Management can arrange to clear the
fouling.
