How to pay your Business Rates
Direct Debit
This is the Council's preferred method of payment and the only
method that gives you a choice of payment dates 1st,
8th, 15th and 25th of the month.
If you do not already pay by direct debit you can set this up in
two ways:
By telephone - If you are the bank account holder and the bill you want to pay is in your name, a direct debit instruction can be set up immediately by calling 01733 452258 (8am to 6pm) . Make sure you have your bill and bank account details to hand. Bank details can be found along the bottom of your cheque book or on your bank statement.
Debit card
By telephone - Payment can be made by calling freephone 0800 389 1977 (24 hours a day seven days a week) or through the call centre 01733 452258 (8am to 6pm)
Internet/home banking and bank credits
Our bank account details are:Barclays Bank, PeterboroughSort Code: 20-67-37. Account number 10572918Use your business rates account number as the reference on the payment
By post
Cheques and postal orders should be crossed and made payable to PETERBOROUGH CITY COUNCIL and sent to Peterborough Direct, Strategic Resources, Bayard Place, Broadway, Peterborough, PE1 1FZ. Write your name, address and business rates number on the reverse of the cheque. If you require a receipt you must enclose a stamped addressed envelope. DO NOT SEND CASH.
Business Rates are due
on the 1st of each month by 10 monthly instalments from
April - January each financial year.
