Time Together Mentoring Scheme
Time Together is an exciting initiative from Time bank, the
volunteering charity.
The scheme matches refugees and asylum seekers with volunteer
mentors to give them support and encouragement as they settle into
their new communities.
Volunteer Mentors spend about 5 hrs a month with their mentee,
supporting them as they pursue their goals, in education, training,
employment and integration.
Uk citizens can use their professional experience to benefit a
refugee from the same professional background or simply introduce a
newcomer to the UK and make it seem more like home.
In Peterborough we have already made over 50 matches.
We would like to welcome more potential mentors
to our scheme.
Forthcoming Training Dates
Daytime and evening course are available according to
demand.
