The Future Electoral Arrangements for Peterborough
Proposal to Local Government Commission to England
Between July 2001 and July 2002, the Local Government
Commission for England (LGCE) will be reviewing Peterborough's
electoral arrangements. The overall aim of the review is to ensure
electoral equality, that is, where one person's vote has the same
value as another's regardless of where they live in the
district.

Local Government Commission for England

for England) web site. The LGCE is an independent body set up
by Parliament to review the structure of local government, the
boundaries of individual local authority areas, and their electoral
arrangements, such as the number of councillors the electors in
each area should have to represent them.
