Schools Swimming Service

 

The Schools Swimming Service is a centrally managed team with technically experienced and knowledgeable staff who provide schools with a full swimming service meeting the needs of staff and pupils at all stages of the National Curriculum.

 

Swimming Tuition and Water Space

Tuition and the allocation of water space with qualified lifeguards at a wide range of local pools, with highly trained and well-motivated teachers. Lessons and allocation are designed to follow the Peterborough Schools Swimming Syllabus, or match your requirements.

 

Resuscitation and Water Safety Training

Annual Resuscitation and water safety training can be provided at your own school, or an external venue, and includes all equipment and resources. We now have 3 members of Sports Development Team qualified to deliver the training.

 

First Aid Training

First Aid training can be provided at your own school, courses offered include: Paediatric First Aid, Community Life Support, One-Day Appointed Persons, Two- Day Refresher and the Four-Day Health and Safety at Work (First Aid).

 

Teacher Training

In-Service training can be provided for your staff and parent helpers.

 

Pool Operator Training and Technical Advice

Peterborough City Council Pool Plant Carer courses which need to be updated bi-annually can be organised at your school or run centrally. Technical support and advice are available for your own school pool by telephone or site visit.
