Village Design Statement (VDS)

 

 

  

 

 

The Village Design Statement (VDS) is a practical tool capable of influencing decisions affecting design and development. As Council approved guidance (formerly known as Supplementary Planning Guidance), its recommendations will be taken into account when planning applications within the relevant villages are being assessed by Peterborough City Council.

VDS's are available for the following villages.

The Barnack and Pilsgate Village Design Statement was adopted by Peterborough City Council as Supplementary Planning Guidance on 16, January 2001. It is only available from the parish council.

 

The Castor and Ailsworth Village Design Statement was adopted by Peterborough City Council as Supplementary Planning Guidance on 28, May 2004.

The Glinton Village Design Statement was adopted by Peterborough City Council as council approved guidance on 13, April 2007.
