Equality monitoring

Our responsibilities in employment under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000

 
We are required to monitor a number of factors to identify and tackle any inequalities in employment practices. These Include:-
 
  • The total number of employees
  • Those who apply for employment
  • Those who apply for training and the training given
  • Grievances and the results of any investigation
  • Disciplinary action, including outcomes
  • Employees leaving the council's employment and reasons for this
  • Training employees responsible for the Scheme
 
These reports highlight the performance of the council in those areas above and the steps being taken to improve performance.
