Peterborough Libraries hold a range of resources to help you find employment:

 

  • Books on finding jobs, writing a CV, interviews, psychometric and selection tests . You can also find books to help you develop your skills, gain promotion or change your career. Use the library catalogue or use our enquiry form if you have a more specific question.

 

  • Local and National Newspapers . Different newspapers tend to have a particular day when they advertise job vacancies e.g. Peterborough Evening Telegraph publish their main job section on Thursdays.

 

  • Use the Internet to find job vacancies, CV and interview tips and register for e-mail alert job vacancy services.

 

  • Register with web sites which will e-mail you details of job vacancies.

 

  • Learndirect courses to help you with a range of skills for work as well as other job-hunting advice.

 

  • Careers information is available at Orton, Bretton and Werrington Libraries. Connexions provide a careers service from the Central Library
