Corporate
Assessment
The Corporate Assessment takes place every three years, and is
an examination of the performance of the council, in order to
support our continuous improvement. Peterborough City Council is
due for a Corporate Assessment in 2006.
The corporate assessment looks at 5 assessment themes:
- Ambition
- Prioritisation
- Capacity
- Performance Management
- Achievement
The achievement theme includes achievements in five
areas:
- Sustainable Communities and Transport
- Safer and Stronger Communities
- Healthier Communities
- Older People
- Children and Young People
The assessment is based upon Key Lines of Enquiry which
describe what the inspectors will be looking for. Click on this

The last time that Peterborough City Council was assessed was
in 2002.
Self
Assessment
As part of the Corporate Assessment process, we will soon be
submitting our Self
Assessment document. This highlights
the vision of Peterborough City Council, the progress that we
have made as an authority and the improvements we intend to
deliver in order to provide the best service to
our customers.
The information in the self-assessment document and the
evidence it provides will be used to help the CPA inspection team
make judgements regarding the scope and focus of their
fieldwork.
The self-assessment will be used as evidence of our
self-awareness of our current position and capacity to deliver
improved outcomes for local people.
