Peterborough Children's Film Awards
Using Films to Aid Learning
Reading and writing are not just about books and papers. Children also learn by looking at pictures and films, and talking about what they see.
Showing films in the classroom helped motivate children to write, so we decided to go one step further and have the children make films themselves!

Based on an idea from Rotherham Local Authority, schools were invited to make and submit films for our Children's Film Awards:
Winning Films from 2008 Awards
Another brilliant competition with supurb entries from both children and young people, the 2008 film awards nights were a resounding success once again. There were some inspiring entries from across the age ranges and a real sense of progression with entries being more technically difficult to produce. A huge congratulations to everyone who won an award, and well done to everyone who entered, this year the judges found it even harder to choose and really everyone who entered is a winner!
The preliminary 2009 categories are now available, why not start planning your film over the summer holiday?
Winning Films from 2007
