What is business transformation?
Business transformation is about
fundamentally changing the way we work and working smarter so that
services are better, quicker, cheaper and simpler to access.
In October 2006, we embarked on an ambitious
transformation programme that has, and will continue to
revolutionise the way we deliver services to people who live,
learn, work in, or visit Peterborough in response to
Sir Peter Gershon's review of local government spending
in July 2004. Local governments were set a target to
achieve annual efficiency gains of 2.5% per annum over the next
three years, totalling £6.45 billion by 2008.
