Council tax
Council Tax is handled by the Local Taxation section who are
responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax
and Business Rates from over 78,000 local taxpayers. It is
this money that helps to fund the Council's services, which
range from street cleaning to schools, social services for the most
vulnerable residents to maintenance of the city's roads and open
spaces.
It also helps to fund Fire and Rescue and
Police services for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
