Travelchoice
What is the Travelchoice project and what does it mean to me?
In April 2004 Peterborough won an award, through the
Department for Transport, to create a Sustainable Travel
Demonstration Town. The project centres on implementing a
comprehensive package of measures to help tackle traffic congestion
by encouraging the use of public transport, cycling and
walking.
Peterborough is only one of three cities in
the UK to be given this status. It is our chance to demonstrate how
changes in travel behaviour can keep our city moving.
