Foundation Learning in Peterborough (continued)

thoughtful

NACRO

Our Foundation Learning programme, Steps 2 Success, is a work-based learning programme for young people aged 16 to 18 who are not yet ready or who are currently unable to enter an apprenticeship, gain employment or gain a place in a further education college.

Learners attending the programme help shape their own programmes, however most say they need some support with maths and English. Others need help building up their confidence levels and others simply need an opportunity to try a work placement to decide if the job they have chosen is right for them.

We offer training in Motor Vehicle studies, Childcare, Business Administration and Retail Distribution and can offer additional support for learners whose first language is not English. Learners have the opportunity to try a variety of sports and take part in new experiences. We offer trips out to reward participation and achievement.

Courses start every 6-8 weeks and on average last 24 weeks. Learners attend 16 hours per week although this can be altered depending on your circumstances.  Nacro will pay for essential travel costs.
