Courses run on four days each week for up to three years as long as students are making progress. The emphasis is on independent living skills and skills for work.

Entry 1 Independent Living Skills

Entry 1-2 2 courses with an emphasis on Horticulture or Art

Entry 2 A Practical Skills course

Entry 2 Entry Business course (students are expected to progress to the Pathways course.

Entry 3 Pathways – a generic course to give students the skills they will need to move forward. Students gain a sense of independence and self confidence by building on skills and strengths. Students go to their chosen curriculum area for one morning a week and work experience for one day each week.

Work ready skills are important to us and all students have an internal or external work experience placement weekly.

Internal work experience placements include: Postal Sorting and Delivery, Working in the Skills for Work and Living Shop ‘Penny Lane’, Working in the E-Bay Shop and Sandwich Delivery Service.

Healthy living skills include use of the gym, sport, swimming and preparing balanced meals.

These courses take place in our 2 houses and students access the main college as and when appropriate. A minibus with a limited number of places collect students from Peterborough each day
