The Youth Bank gives grants
to projects led by young people. It is young people who
make the decisions about who gets the
money.
The Youth Bank administers the Youth Opportunity Fund and the
Youth Capital Fund that give grants to improve local facilities for
young people and give them more activities and interests to take
part in. What is new about this is that young people come up with
the ideas and young people decide where the money is spent.
Young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 for those with additional
needs) can apply for funding for their ideas. A team of “grant
givers” (also aged 13-19) discuss the applications and decide where
the money is spent.
THE YOUTH BANK FUNDS ARE
CLOSED TO FURTHER APPLICATIONS FOR NOW
