This summer, the National Citizen Service
(NCS) is being delivered by the Young Lives
Consortium in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We have a
significant number of places available for year 11 leavers.
NCS is a 3 week programme running throughout the summer, for
young people in Year 11; during which they will learn new skills,
challenge themselves, work as part of a team and have the
opportunity to give back to their local community. The programme
consists of two five day residentials, after which participants
will choose a local issue or cause to help, developing and deliver
their own social action project.
The programme will be fun and exciting whilst
challenging young people and supporting them in developing
life-long skills and making new friends. It is a great way to
boost their CV or UCAS personal statement as it will provide
evidence of personal and social development in a structured
environment.
This is an amazing opportunity for your son/daughter and the
good news is it is FREE, as it is partly government funded.
