What you need to know about being in care

This information is to help you understand almost everything you need to know about being in care. There are many reasons why children and young people are in care and every case is different.

One in every 100 children are in care because it is not in their best interest to live with the family they were born into. Some chidren are scared or worried about being in care, but it is important to remember there are lots of people who want to help and make you feel better.
