You may think only older people need to worry about their health, but that is not true

Being healthy makes you feel better whatever age you are.  If you are healthy when you are young you are more likely to remain so as you get older. Everyone can do things to stay healthy.

Think about:-

  • making your diet more healthy
  • ensuring you have enough physical exercise – for example, regular walking or playing sport.
  • being aware of the effects of alcohol, drugs and smoking

You may have specific health problems like asthma, epilepsy or colour blindness.  These may affect your career choice or future decisions in your life.  Remember to mention these to your Connexions Personal Adviser when you see them for an interview so they can give you the correct advice.

If you need to find and register with a new doctor or find other health services try this NHS site.

NHS Direct can help you decide if you have a condition that requires treatment.
