S106 planning agreements:

Decisions for all new residential units and commercial development (above a certain threshold) will be subject to a legal agreement. An example of this would be a case where the applicant is required to pay the CIty Council to improve open space near the site to meet the needs of the development and benefit the wider community. In these cases a decision notice will not be issued until the legal agreement has been signed. A Draft Heads of Terms needs to be submitted with the application as part of the validation process. This can be done online or via a downloadable form.

National standard planning application form (1APP)

The national standard planning application form (1APP) is the only official method of submitting a planning application (except for minerals). Although available in paper format, the standard planning application form (1APP) will facilitate online submissions and will be used in conjunction with the Planning Portal on-line application service. The intelligent nature of the electronic form helps applicants identify the correct planning consent required for the development and link to the associated mandatory and local Planning Application Requirements. You may apply by using the downloadable forms, the Planning Portal On-line Application Service or request application forms to be posted to you.

Online application forms

Complete on-line by using the  Planning Portal on-line application service makes electronic applications easy. The electronic form will help you identify the correct planning consent required for your development and link to the associated mandatory and local Planning Application requirements.  You can fill in the electronic form and then print it to accompany your application.  If you wish to make your application completely electronic you will need to have all your information available in an electronic form. Guidance Notes: Making a Planning Application Online.
