Planning and building online registers
Enabling members of the public, councillors and other vested
interest groups to interact with the planning and building control
process at a time and place that suits them.
Note minimum requirements to view - please ensure you have
the following installed:
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6 or above
or
Mozilla Firefox

for issues with viewing the associated documents (minimum browser
requirements or the pop-up blocker is disabled), or using the
Public Access map (the pop-up blocker is disabled)

REGISTER
Public access is an on-line internet service that allows
searching by a variety of criteria such as address, date and type
for any of the following:
- planning enforcement cases
- planning applications
- planning appeal cases
- building control applications
Public Access enables:
- viewing of application\case details
- monitoring the progress of applications and cases
- submission of comments about applications
- viewing weekly lists of planning applications and
decisions
- viewing many historic applications and case details
- viewing property details by reference to a map
- viewing documentation and plans
Data limitations
Please note this service is being
developed and some features are incomplete at the present time:
- Public Access is available online between 5am and midnight each
day
- under normal circumstances new applications will be able to be
viewed within 3-5 working days of receipt of the application
- planning applications data currently exists back from April
1997; building regulations data from January 1996; appeals data
from October 1997; enforcement data from October 1976.
Documentation and plans maybe incomplete before 23 November 2009.
The Council is committed to providing further electronic data
capture over the coming months as use of this important source of
information increases
- discharge of condition applications are for information
purposes only and are not published for comments
- the online planning history contained within the site at
present is incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for
carrying out a formal Land Charge Search. No responsibility will be
taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history
information obtained from Public Access
- similarly the information contained within Public Access does
not constitute in any way a formal notification of a decision, and
as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on
the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk
- under the Local Government (Access to Information Act 1985)
your comments received in connection with an application will be
held on a file which is open to public inspection
Important copyright notice
Material submitted to the Council is protected by the Copyright
Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is
downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare
current applications with previous schemes and to check whether
developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans.
Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the
copyright owner.
