Timetable for review of development plans
A timetable of all the various stages in reviewing our
development plans can be found in the Local
Development Scheme 2010 (LDS).
Review of the Regional Development Plan
The East of England Plan was adopted in 2008, but is now subject
to review. The main thrust of the review is to push back the end
date of the Plan from 2021 to 2031, and set new house building
targets and other policies accordingly. The
Review of the East of England Plan is being undertaken by
EERA.
Review of Peterborough Development Plans
We are updating our Development Plans for the area to
replace (supersede) its current Adopted Local Plan (2005). However,
rather than a single ‘Local Plan’, Government now requires a suite
of documents to be produced, collectively known as the Local Development
Framework (LDF).
Review of Minerals and Waste Development Plans
Working with Cambridgeshire County Council, we are also updating
our Minerals and Waste Plans. These
documents will form part of the wider suite of documents
collectively known as the Local Development Framework (LDF).
How we consult you when we review Development Plans
The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how
communities will be involved in the revision of local planning
documents and in the consideration of planning applications.
Evidence base to help us review Development Plans
A comprehensive evidence base is necessary to assist the City
Council in preparing reviews of its Development Plans
